Voice cabling can provide the interface between the PABX and the structured cabling system, by presenting extensions on voice patch panels so that voice services can be patched to the appropriate user outlet. Multipair voice cables are also used for emergency back-up systems such as Emergency Lift Phones and BT RedCare etc.
