The Sarah Swift Building at the University of Lincoln is a £19million, 5,500m² development named after Lincolnshire born Dame Sarah Swift, who founded the Royal College of Nursing, it was constructed on a brownfield site between an existing University building and a railway line and brings two of the University’s largest academic departments – the School of Health and Social Care and School of Psychology – together under one roof.
The new five storey academic building accommodates a diverse range of learning and research spaces, including new teaching areas, offices, clinical simulation facilities for the School’s healthcare programmes, psychology laboratories for extensive research and nurse training facilities which will support continued growth in the disciplines and enhance the student learning experience.
